Andrew Calore – Navigator
Ever since my dad started giving me rides around the yard in his dune buggy, I’ve been interested in racing. Everyday, when I was five or six years old I would beg my babysitter to bring me to the local motorcycle shop just to sit on the dirt bikes and see video’s of racing. After a few years of just looking at vehicles, when I was eight years old I got a 90cc ATV – and with a few modifications that my Dad and I made to it I was able to have some real fun.
My father and I jet ski frequently throughout the summer and it doesn’t matter if we’re going on 120-mile trips or jumping 20-foot waves; its all fun! There’s just nothing like going out on a sunny day jet skiing, and jumping the big swells! Just like Baja, there’s a thrill behind the speed and risk.
In addition to my own research into the world of racing, I found no source of information more valuable than that of my father. Both a seasoned racer and a smart businessman, we would talk about his old exploits while watching classic racing movies.
Behind the wheel of the vehicles now, I’m looking to push myself both physically and mentally as we move forward into future races and competitions.
